Mountain gate is a development that started in 2004 located at the entrance of Palm Springs, in the North End of town across from the famous architectural Palm Springs Visitor Center and the Aerial Tramway.  Mountain Gate is gated and offers 3 community pools and spas, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, walking trails and a gazebo with community barbecues.​ Mountain Gate's low monthly HOA dues ($160/month as of 2025) also maintain the beautifully manicured shared grounds throughout the community.   ​THIS WEBSITE IS FOR THE MOUNTAIN GATE NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATION (MGNO THE SOCIAL GROUP) WE HAVE NO AFFILATION WITH FIRST RESIDENTIAL OR THE HOA BOARD. PLEASE CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY AT 760-834-2488.​The MGNO was created in 2010. Our purpose is to connect our neighbors with one another by providing social opportunities to connect and socialize. We do this by a volunteer donation of $40 per household once a year and by having one of our residents host the event in their home. The yearly donation pays for the majority of the supplies for the social event and/or residents bring a dish to share to the event.​Collecting all dues in January helps the all-volunteer MGNO Committee plan for the expense of events for the coming year.     The  MGNO Committee  are open and honest in sharing the membership finances.
